0330L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-7/12/22

1-Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid-90s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight-Partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 60s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

2- We will experience a cooler day but rest assured the seasonal heat will return. We are very dry out there and we’ve had several fires and even though the winds have been fairly light, fire does create it’s own weather and can spread very quickly. If you see smoke or fire, call 911 immediately so the proper response can be sent. If you do call 911, DO THE BEST YOU CAN TO GIVE THEM YOUR EXACT LOCATION.

3-OVERALL, we’ll be ok but understand we are in a summertime drought so use EXTREME CAUTION when doing anything related to fire.

Finally, I want to thank Drummond, Enid, and Kremlin Fire for their assistance to Hillsdale-Carrier Fire District on a fire yesterday that could have gone terribly wrong if their quick response hadn’t occurred. It was a touch toasty out there but we’re all ok.
