*HEAT ADVISORY CONTINUES IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY UNTIL 8PM THIS EVENING. “Heat index values” could end up around 108+ here in the area. Extreme caution is advised if you work outside. Make sure you hydrate properly. No storms are in the forecast today.

*With AIR temperatures nearing 105 today and the heat index possibly reaching 108, anyone working outdoors should use extreme caution. Pay close attention to how you are feeling out there and take a few more breaks. WIND will play a part in making it feel like a blast furnace so again, be careful out there.

*Other than the heat, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Tuesday- Sunny, breezy, hot with highs around 103. Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

Tuesday Night-Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 70s. South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph, becoming southeast 5 to 10 mph after midnight. Heat index values up to 105 early in the evening.
