1- HOT, HOT, HOT. This pretty much sums it up.

2- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Sunny, windy with highs in the upper 90s. South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

Tonight-Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Breezy with lows in the upper 70s. South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

NWS Graphics weren’t updated at the time of this post.

3- Per drought conditions, the NE part of the county is in an abnormally dry area. The SE and southern 1/3rd of the county is in a moderate drought. The Central, Western, and NW parts of the county are still in a severe drought. If you see smoke or fire, call 911 immediately so a quick response can be sent. Peoples livelihood will be at stake.

4-FIREWORKS- With the 4th of July coming up, I wanted to remind everyone that it is ILLEGAL to fire off fireworks on ANY county road, near any type of standing crop, and in the city limits of Enid. Other towns have different rules so if you live in any rural town in Garfield County, send me your rules for this and I will gladly post. Send them to mike@gcem.org

FINALLY, more will follow in the coming weeks prior to the 4th on the fireworks so STAY COOL OUT THERE AND HAVE A GOOD DAY!
