0255L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-6/06/23

*Download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’re not prepared without it.

* The following is similar to what I posted yesterday which still applies today through at least Thursday; low chances for thunderstorms are possible. If storms occur, they will most likely be diurnal in nature meaning surface heating with minimal instability in the lower atmosphere will be the kicker for convection. If storms fire up, they will move slowly and be heavy rain producers with possibly small hail and lightning. Just stay weather aware each afternoon and plan accordingly. Severe weather is not expected but it’s not out of the question. If a storm does go severe, it would be mainly for the winds.

* Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Tuesday- Sunny. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the mid-80s. Northeast winds around 5 mph, becoming east in the afternoon. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tuesday Night-Partly cloudy in the evening, then clearing. Lows in the lower 60s. South winds around 5 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
