0325L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 03/19/24

*It will be warm today after another overnight with just at/below freezing temps. We should recover with highs in the 70s this afternoon. Wind gusts could reach 30 mph. Dry air will advect into the area with southwest winds thus giving way to at least a low fire danger in our area. Elevated fire weather conditions will exist in Northwest Oklahoma.

*Showers and thunderstorms are possible by late afternoon Wednesday into Thursday and again on Saturday in western Oklahoma. We’ll see how we fair as this develops. We do have anywhere from a 40 to 60% chance for rain on Wednesday and Thursday.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Not as cool with highs in the mid-70s. Southwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

Tonight- Clear. Lows in the mid-40s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph.
