0320L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK & INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MGMT-11/12/19

GARFIELD COUNTY EM is our notification app. You’re NOT prepared without it!

1-It’s extremely cold outside and the winds have decreased in speed. At 0300, its 15 degrees with a wind chill of 4 degrees. Winds are out of the north at 10 mph. I would recommend a coat this morning. Overall, we did ok but there were several power outages around the area per OGE System Watch.

 2- As I always state, PREPAREDNESS is key in being able to adapt to conditions we are not used too. Keep this in mind in making preparations for the next event. Failure to prepare only causes suffering on your part and possibly your family and it isn’t necessary.

3- We will gradually warm up this week but we’ll have a few more fronts push through too. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Highs in the upper 30s with light and variable winds becoming south around 10 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight- Not as cold. Lows in the lower 20s with south winds 10 to 20 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY AND STAY WARM.

MIKE
