0315L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 10/01/24
*Starting the new month with a cool front so enjoy the cooler temps today but also beware of the winds. We could see wind gusts upwards of 30 mph through at least mid-day. No rain is expected with this front. Temps will recover back into the mid to upper 80s on Wednesday and we could see temps into the mid-90s over the weekend. No rain in sight!
*We had several fires yesterday across the county. With winds possibly gusting upwards of 30 mph for today, keep your eyes peeled for any suspicious activity. If you see smoke or fire, call 911 immediately. The FIRE DANGER is moderate for today.
Overall, we’ll be ok but becoming a bit toasty again so here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Today- Sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. Northeast winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
Tonight- Clear. Lows around 50. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph, becoming east after midnight.
