0405L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK & INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-10/29/19

1- FREEZE WARNING in effect until 10am this morning. Hopefully outside winter preparations were made. We are expecting some rain/drizzle later today and overnight tonight. If temps do fall below freezing, we may see some freezing drizzle or freezing rain. Per guidance, right now, the freezing precipitation should be fairly light.

2- The above will probably change some during the day so we’ll advise accordingly. We are expecting some snow tomorrow as this storm system moves across the area but not a lot in the accumulation department. There are still questions in the model solutions. The main thing here is IF WE SEE WINTER PRECIP, slow down, pay attention while driving AND walking, and keep an umbrella with you. WE ARE NOT GOING TO HAVE A MAJOR STORM HERE but we will most likely have just enough freezing precip to excite those expert drivers I spoke of yesterday. Be careful out there. If traveling, check forecasts carefully.

3- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Partly cloudy in the morning, then cloudy with a chance of rain in the afternoon. Highs around 40. Northeast winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Tonight-Rain in the evening, then rain or light freezing rain likely after midnight. Lows in the lower 30s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

We’ll advise if anything major does change. HAVE A GOOD DAY
