0330L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-9/28/21

1- Another warm/hot day and then we’ll see a cooler trend along with a chance for rain. Not holding my breath on the rain but hoping it occurs. We are extremely dry. Several variables out there on the rain probabilities so we’ll see what actually plays out day by day.

2- Depending on the rain, we are still very dry so the Fire Danger is still around. If it’s windy, please don’t do any controlled burning. If winds are below 15 mph, be sure and let dispatch know you are burning. You can find all the numbers for our fire departments around the county here-  https://gcem.org/emergency-numbers/

3- Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Sunny. Highs in the mid-90s. South winds 10 to 15 mph with higher gusts.

Tonight-Partly cloudy with a slight chance of thunderstorms. Lows in the mid-60s. South winds around 10 mph. Chance of thunderstorms 20 percent.

Finally, visit our website at www.gcem.org and be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. I will have an update on the app in a day or so.

STAY SAFE!
