0305L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-9/05/23

*A front is creeping our way and should enter the area sometime later this morning or early this afternoon. Exact timing isn’t known so we’ll wait for the wind to shift. There is a chance we could see some showers around the area early this morning so we’ll see what happens. The front should push into the middle of the state sometime this afternoon with a chance for showers and maybe a few thunderstorms. If severe limits are reached, strong winds would be the main threat. Our high temps will be in the 90s today. Later in the week, we’ll see another front push in and cool things down a bit so by the weekend, we may have a better chance for rain. We’ll see what happens.

*The FIRE DANGER is still up there so be very careful if utilizing anything related to fire. If you see smoke or fire CALL 9-1-1. Remember that any controlled burning should NOT be conducted if winds are over 15 mph.

*Overall, everything’s going to be alright, so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Tuesday- Sunny. Highs in the upper 90s. Southwest winds 15 to 20 mph, becoming west 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night- Partly cloudy in the evening, then becoming mostly clear. Lows in the mid-60s. North winds 5 to 10 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
