FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

I hope everyone enjoyed the weather yesterday because it will change a little later this evening. RAIN is back in the forecast for the next several days. That said, there may be a chance for some severe weather but right now it doesn’t appear that would be widespread. If they do occur over the next several days, hail and winds will be the main threats. Remember, this could change but as it looks right now, we look to receive between 1 to 1.5 inches of rainfall over the next 2-3 days. Some areas may see a little more or less depending on how heavy some cells may be. Overall, a good soaking rain event.

This would be a good time to download our “GARFIELD COUNTY EM” app if you want to stay in the know of what’s going on weather and incident-wise here in the county.
