0325L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 4/16/25

There is a MARGINAL RISK for severe weather later today into the evening hours. IF STORMS OCCUR, large hail and damaging winds would be the main threats. A dryline out west, with moisture return along with dew point temps in the 50’s and finally with a strong low level jet, we could see storms if they can get going out west. Our chances are 20%. Rain chances over the weekend look a little better. See graphics attached.

Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Today- Sunny, breezy with highs in the lower 80s. South winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Breezy and not as cool with lows in the lower 60s. South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
