0350L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-1/13/21

1- GARFIELD COUNTY EM is our notification app. Make every effort to get it downloaded so you WILL BE better prepared.

2- Weather-wise, another really nice day with winds about like yesterday. We’ll be a little warmer than Tuesday so get outside and enjoy it.

3- Thursday, a front will push in early, bringing a very slight chance for light precip, if it happens at all, while passing through the area. It will bring strong winds with some gusts upwards of 40 mph. This said, secure loose items around the yard so they don’t take flight. This will also go for Friday too. A wind advisory may be issued for either day. We’ll see what the NWS does on that.

4- FIRE DANGER will exist after frontal passage so if you see smoke or fire, please call 911 immediately so a quick response can be dispatched.

5- OVERALL, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Wednesday-Sunny, with a high near 60. South southwest wind 7 to 10 mph.

Wednesday Night-Partly cloudy with a low around 35. South southwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
