0325L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-1/05/22
1- WIND CHILL ADVISORY was issued by the NWS yesterday for Thursday morning from 0300 until 1000 local time. Wind chill temps are expected with below zero values during this timeframe. Highs on THURSDAY will be in the low 20s.
2-Other than this roller coaster in temps, there doesn’t appear to be any major chance for precipitation. We’ll see how this mess pans out.
3- Keep your eyes peeled for smoke and fire. Call 911 if you see any. Be extremely careful also during these periods where we have the bitter cold temps. It doesn’t take long to end up with some frostbite and believe me, it hurts. Cover up and you should be ok. Here is your forecast WITH YESTERDAY’S graphics, from the NWS/NORMAN;
Wednesday-Sunny, colder. Highs in the lower 40s. North winds around 10 mph shifting to the east in the afternoon.
Wednesday Night-Mostly clear. Colder. Lows around 10. East winds 10 to 15 mph shifting to the north 15 to 25 mph after midnight.
