0410L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK & INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MGMT-6/17/2020

1- We are under a GRASSLAND FIRE DANGER as conditions are ELEVATED. Northern and Western Oklahoma are affected from 1pm until 7pm this evening. We are expecting South winds 20-30 gusting to 35, Humidity 25-30%, Temps-mid-90s. As I have been stating, it seems like weeks now, if you see smoke or fire, call 911.

2-CUDO’S to our fire dispatchers each day as we drive them crazy wondering who is coming from where, what frequency we will be using, and how quickly will we get there. They do an excellent job everyday so always know we do appreciate them and they are a big part of the team.

3- Weather-wise, it looks like rain chances are actually going up. Late Thursday we have a 40% chance and then a 50-50 chance over the weekend. It would be nice to see rainfall over the weekend. Friday we have a MARGINAL RISK so we’ll see what happens. The forecast is basically what I stated for the Grassland Fire Danger above.

STAY SAFE AND HAVE A GOOD DAY!!

MIKE
