0320L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK & INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MGMT-3/4/2020

1-The first day of our Emergency Management workshop went well. We had a few glitches but overcame those and absorbed a lot of good info from our speakers. Today will be filled with even more information that will help jurisdictions in planning & preparedness. For those that couldn’t get here yesterday, hopefully we see you today.

2- IMPORTANT INFO- We have an apparent FIRE STARTER/ARSONIST setting fires around the county. If you see someone setting fire to something, DO NOT CONFRONT THEM AND CALL THE SHERIFF’S Office. Your job is to observe and report. Let Law Enforcement take care of this. Thank you.

3- Weather-wise, we look pretty good right now even though we’ll be cloudy and cool. Rain chances for our area look to occur this weekend. Overall, we’ll be ok and we’ll see what happens.

4- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Wednesday-Mostly cloudy with a high near 59. North northeast wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Wednesday Night-Partly cloudy with a low around 35. Light and variable winds becoming southwest 5 to 10 mph in the evening.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

MIKE
