0335L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 5/17/23

* A nice day then rain chances this evening and tomorrow. Today’s temps will be a little below normal but winds will also be in check so enjoy the day with “mostly” sunny skies. Tonight, storms should form out in the eastern Texas Panhandle, per guidance, and move across the area overnight. Some of these storms could be severe due to winds and possibly hail so we’ll keep that eye out there and see what develops.

*The above stated, we are a bit soggy so if we see any heavy rainfall tonight and Thursday, we could very well see some localized flooding. Be careful while driving IF we see heavier rainfall out there.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. North winds around 5 mph, becoming east this afternoon.

Tonight- Mostly clear in the evening, then partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Lows in the upper 50s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

**Be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’re not prepared without it. My posts also appear on the app under GCEM BLOG each day.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
