0330L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 05/08/24

*GARFIELD COUNTY EM is our notification app. Keep up with the latest from us and the NWS.

*NOTICE: we observed a lot of damage in the southern part of the county. We have taken many pics and we utilized an EPD drone for some aerial footage and pics. Thank you to EPD for that assistance. We didn’t get everywhere. PLEASE let us know if you had major damage out in the rural areas. You can also report your damage at this address-   damage.ok.gov and the state will coordinate with us. Email me at  mike@gcem.org or mhonigsberg@enid.org  so we can get out there and do an assessment.

*If your residence isn’t livable, call RED CROSS. We had a family in Douglas do so yesterday.

*Weather-wise; between now through Saturday, we’ll have mostly clear skies and warm temps then that chance for showers and thunderstorm reappears Sunday per guidance. We do have a frontal boundary that will traverse the area so we will have a wind shift with gusty winds for a while this morning. This said, here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Highs in the upper 70s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 40s. North winds 5 to 10 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
