0255L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-10/12/22

Want to be prepared? GARFIELD COUNTY EM. Download it and you will be.

1- The front has entered the state and should be in our area around the 5 to 7 am timeframe give or take. Rain isn’t expected right now but I wouldn’t mind being wrong concerning this. Winds will become northerly with some gusts reaching 40 mph for a few hours then decreasing on average to 25 mph.

2- Fire weather conditions will exist throughout the rest of the week with low humidity and strong winds. We want to remind folks all around the county that we do have an arsonist running around out there. Stay alert and report ANY SUSPICIOUS activity to 911 or to the Sheriff’s office.

3- This front will not lower temps very much and we’ll see another front push in this weekend. The weekend front will lower temps quite a bit with a better chance for rain. We’ll see what happens.

4- OVERALL, we’ll be ok so secure anything that could take flight and we will deal with whatever Mother Nature throws at us as we always do.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
