0325L-TUESDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 10/08/24

*Warmer days and cool nights will continue with highs in the mid to upper 80s and lows in the mid-50s. We will see some high clouds out there but nothing major at least for now. Believe it or not, there is a very outside chance we may see showers late Wednesday night. We’ll see what happens there.

*The fire danger remains elevated.  One thing we have going for us is that the winds will be mostly light. If you see smoke or fire, call 911

*Overall, we’ll be ok. Here is your forecast for today and Wednesday from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Highs in the mid-80s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows in the mid-50s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday- Sunny. Highs around 90. South winds 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday Night- Mostly clear in the evening, then partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Lows around 60. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Not sure if they are messing with us for Wednesday nights forecast but I wouldn’t mind seeing some rainfall.

*Be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’re not prepared without it!

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
