0340L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK & INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-9/11/19

1- SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 “NEVER FORGET”

2- Hot and windy for the most part today with a good possibility for some severe weather  Thursday afternoon into Friday. Main threats on Thursday will be wind, hail, and torrential rainfall.

3- On a PREPAREDNESS note, if we have this kind of moisture during the WINTER months, ice and snowstorms will be common. I am not joking about this. Be thinking about what you will do if we actually loose power for several days due to a major ice event. I am not trying to scare anyone but that possibility is real. This is why I state that each time you go to the grocery store, pick up a few extra cans of whatever as a precaution. You never know!!

4- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Wednesday-Sunny with a high near 92. South winds 15 to 20 mph gusting to 25 mph.

Wednesday Night-Partly cloudy with lows around 73. South winds 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

HAVE A SUPER DAY!!
