0345L-WEDNESDAY OUTLOOK & INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-9/4/19

1-Hot and humid weather will continue through at least early next week then rain chances come back into the mix. We’ll see what happens.

2-September being Preparedness Month gives you an opportunity to look at everything you SHOULD BE DOING to become resilient. If you don’t want to listen to me, go to Ready.gov and start reading. You may think you know what to do but believe me folks, there is some great info on that site that can really help you.

3- GARFIELD COUNTY EM is our emergency app and it has great information storing capability. If you don’t have it, you’re NOT PREPARED!

4- Here are the rough answers to Monday’s questions; How much cash should you have on hand? This is a good question and it all depends on the family. You need to know what your daily needs are so you can properly plan this out. Every family is different so you will have to actually sit down and figure this one out.

Where is that best location to hide that money at home? There are hundreds of places at home to hide money. Jars, cups, jewelry boxes, inside large candles, under clothes in a drawer, and many other locations. The biggest threat to this is REMEMBERING WHERE YOU HID THE MONEY!!  Build this fund, put it in a safe place but accessible so you can get to it if needed.

5- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Wednesday-Sunny. Highs in the mid 90s. Light and variable winds.

Wednesday Night-Clear. Lows in the upper 60s. Light and variable winds.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
