EMERGENCY DISASTER PROCLAMATION – GARFIELD COUNTY

On April 23, 2026, an EF-4 tornado caused significant damage across Garfield County, impacting homes, infrastructure, and livelihoods throughout our community. In response, the Board of County Commissioners has officially signed an Emergency Disaster Proclamation to support ongoing response and recovery efforts.

This proclamation allows Garfield County to access additional resources, coordinate more effectively with state and local partners, and continue delivering critical assistance to those affected.

Our teams, along with volunteer organizations and partner agencies, remain fully engaged in recovery operations. We are committed to helping our residents rebuild safely and as quickly as possible.

We appreciate the continued support, patience, and resilience of our community during this time.
