0400L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-4/18/19

1- Power outages and wind damage were prevalent around the area when the storms came roaring through. They were weaker than the storms that occurred out west but I’m not complaining. Some folks want the really bad storms. I for one don’t simply because when the law of averages catches up with us, it will be rough. Never hope for the bad stuff!!

2- WINDY conditions will exist with north winds and we may see some wrap around precipitation as the storm system moves away. Overall, we fared well.

3- If you sustained damage and you have our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app, please send in a damage report to us and even if you live outside of Garfield County, do the same. That info will be forwarded to your emergency manager.

4– Keeping this short and sweet, here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Thursday- 10 percent chance of showers before 7am. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 67. North wind 14 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Thursday Night-Partly cloudy, with a low around 43. North wind 8 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY
