0320L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 4/18/25

*SLIGHT CHANCE FOR SEVERE WEATHER LATER TODAY INTO THE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT HOURS. LARGE HAIL, TO BASEBALL SIZE & DAMAGING WINDS, TO 70 MPH, ARE THE MAIN THREATS. The tornado threat is low but not out of the question.

*Depending where this front and dryline end up as we approach the time of convection, will be where we’ll focus our attention. I’ll update this information around 1 pm or so.

Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Today- Mostly cloudy. A chance of sprinkles this morning, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Cooler with highs in the upper 70s. Southwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight- A chance of thunderstorms. Showers. Some thunderstorms may be severe. Cooler with lows in the upper 40s. North winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent.
