0325L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 04/05/24

*Download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’ll receive info from us and the NWS in detail.

*Another nice day but with fairly strong winds. Temps will be warmer but the winds may negate that just a little bit. There will be some dirt and ash in the air as controlled burning over the last few days will help with that.  We would prefer that no controlled burning occur today but especially on Saturday when wind gusts could exceed 45-50 mph.

*Overall, we’ll be ok today but batten down the hatches for Saturday. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Highs in the mid-70s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 30 mph this afternoon.

Tonight- Partly cloudy in the evening, then clearing. Lows in the mid-50s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

Again, WHAT ARE YOUR WORST FEARS WHEN SEVERE WEATHER OCCURS OR IS FORECAST TO OCCUR? “EMAIL” me at mike@gcem.org so I can base some information towards those questions. Your names will remain confidential but hopefully we can help you with those fears.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!
