0255L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 04/04/24

*Clear skies and light winds are expected today. Winds will be increasing on Friday as another upper level system moves our way that will bring multiple weather hazards over the weekend. This will include severe weather with wind and hail as the main threats and elevated fire weather if the dryline can push across our area. We’ll see what happens.

*I will address some of the FEARS that some folks have emailed to me on Saturday mornings post. All of the fears that have been sent are very legitimate so I’ll address these as best I can. I am possibly going to make videos and post them here since a few of these would require a very long post. I’ll let you all know.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Thursday- Sunny. Highs in the mid-60s. North winds 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday Night- Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 30s. East winds 5 to 10 mph.

*Download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’ll receive info from us and the NWS in detail.

Again, WHAT ARE YOUR WORST FEARS WHEN SEVERE WEATHER OCCURS OR IS FORECAST TO OCCUR? “EMAIL” me at mike@gcem.org so I can base some information towards those questions. Your names will remain confidential but hopefully we can help you with those fears.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!
