0330L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-12/09/22

1- The FOG ADVISORY was canceled in our area BUT there may be some fog in low lying areas early this morning. If any moisture remained on bridges and overpasses, they may be slick so use extreme caution while driving this morning.

2- There is a chance for showers and thunderstorms this evening and overnight as another boundary pushes through the area bringing yet another front. If we see any rainfall, rainfall totals should be low. We will see the sun during the day, observe rain overnight and the sun returns for the weekend. We’ll see how this pans out.

3- According to the U.S. DROUGHT MONITOR AS OF YESTERDAY, we are still in an EXTREME DROUGHT. Use caution if you plan on a controlled burn and let dispatch know that you are doing one. You can call 580-234-FIRE (3473) to let them know and they’ll advise us.
