0255L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-12/10/22

GARFIELD COUNTY EM IS OUR PREPAREDNESS AND NOTIFICATION APP. If you don’t have it, you will need it so download it, learn it, and apply what you have learned and you’ll be ok.

1- It looks like rain chances will now be low after the storms passed through the area overnight. Those are moving away as another front pushes towards us. The front should push in sometime this morning. NNW winds should average around 5-15 mph if that. We’ll be partly cloudy over the weekend with rain chances returning Monday afternoon into Tuesday. We’ll see what happens for sure.

2- Per the Drought Monitor, we are still in an EXTREME DROUGHT. Call 580-234-FIRE (3473) for controlled Burns and if they get out of control, call 911 and we’ll come out and visit.

3- Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly cloudy. Highs in the lower 50s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight- Mostly cloudy. Patchy fog in the evening, then areas of fog after midnight. Lows in the lower 30s. North winds around 5 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
