*We are in a GENERAL RISK AREA for thunderstorms starting later this afternoon into the evening and overnight hours. Severe weather isn’t expected BUT will be prevalent out west, southwest, and south of us. The graphics attached will change during the day especially if storm track or intensities for our area change. All this said, we will see some thunderstorm activity and possibly some rainfall upwards of 1 inch tonight and over the weekend.

*Be sure and download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app as NWS warnings and advisories automatically come through along with any additional info from me. It is a free app to download.

*Remember that when there are thunderstorms around the area, the drama on TV increases. Don’t get too worked up as storms will always occur and we’ll have spotters out here locally if needed. OVERALL, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
