0330L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK & INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MGMT-2/21/2020

1- The system that brought light snow is departing the area today and as that occurs, south winds will return. Some may be gusty at times. The FIRE DANGER will increase some so if you see smoke and or fire, call 911.

2-Our next chance for rain looks to be Sunday into Monday so we’ll see what happens. See graphic attached. Overall, we look to be ok so enjoy this warmup and we’ll see how next week comes together.

3- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Friday-Sunny with a high near 47. South winds 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Friday Night-Mostly clear with a low around 32. South winds 10 to 15 mph gusting to 20 mph.

4- I have been relentless in trying to get folks to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. This is for a reason. With all of the features it provides and the push through notifications from the NWS, you really can’t go wrong. Get it now, learn how it works, and then you’re prepared for the rest of the severe weather season.

5- Here’s a question for you; How long is our actual storm season? Let’s see how many can get the right answer.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
