0335L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK AND INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-7/01/22

1- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Sunny, hot with highs around 100. South winds 10 to 15 mph gusting to 20 mph.

Tonight-Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the mid-70s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph.

2- Very slight chance for a shower if a front pushes far enough south out of Kansas. It’s looking doubtful right now. It will really warm up as we venture into next week. Check out the first graphic attached.

3- Fireworks info once again- Expect to see this for the next 3 days.

It’s illegal to fire them off of a county road, meaning fence to fence. Here is the STATE LAW;

FIREWORKS- TITLE 68, Article 16-Fireworks, Section 1627- It shall be unlawful to explode or ignite fireworks within five hundred feet of any church, hospital, asylum, unharvested, flammable agricultural crop, public school or where fireworks are stored, sold, or offered for sale. No person shall ignite or discharge any permissible articles of fireworks within or throw the same from a motor vehicle; nor shall any person place or throw any ignited article of fireworks into or at such vehicle or at or near any group of people.
