0330L-MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT- 4/21/25

We received around 2 inches of rainfall so if you all would, please send me your totals. Today will be a mild one with the rest of the week being mostly wet. There will be a severe threat for Tuesday, late afternoon into the evening hours. We’ll see how that mess comes together.

There is a lot of fear mongering about horrible weather around the first of May, give or take. Believe it or not, we will be in the middle of our higher level storm season. It’s normal to have more intense storms during this time period so don’t freak out over the doomsday folks. No one knows what will happen that far out, especially using 1 model. It takes several to come up with a forecast. Just be prepared and make sure you have our app. Details on that are below in the last small paragraph.

Overall, we’ll be ok. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Today- Areas of fog this morning. Sunny. Not as cool with highs in the upper 70s. South winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 50s. South winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

Be sure to download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. NWS warnings and advisories come through in detail automatically and you’ll get important info from us too.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
