0400L-MONDAY UPDATE FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-020518

1-THERE WILL BE “NO” STORM SIREN TEST TODAY. We will resume tests in March with a few changes. Information on changes will come around mid-February.

2-REMINDER: BURN BAN in effect. NO outdoor burning of any kind.

3-There is a chance for some freezing precip tomorrow and again possibly this weekend.  IT’S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD. Chances are not real high as moisture is not readily available but enough may be around to cause slick conditions on bridges and overpasses. If you plan on traveling, check road conditions and the latest forecast before venturing out. We will struggle today to get into the 40’s so make sure you have a coat.

4-Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Monday-Sunny, with a high near 47. Wind chill values as low as zero early. South wind 5 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 25 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

Monday Night-Partly cloudy, with a low around 25. South wind 5 to 15 mph becoming north northeast in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.

HAVE A SUPER DAY AND STAY WARM.
