0415-SUNDAY UPDATE FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-2/4/18

1-We have had several fires due to illegal burning since the burn ban was initiated. There have been many questions about this so I felt that posting this link would answer many questions. If you are still in doubt, give me a call. 580-541-1263. Here is the link: http://www.forestry.ok.gov/Websites/forestry/images/Burn%20Bans/Burn%20Ban%20Guidelines%20January%2030%202018.pdf

2- A cold front is moving through the area this morning and it’s going to be noticeably colder today. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to 30’s. With winds 15-25 mph and higher gusts, the wind chill will bite you. Take the necessary precautions to protect yourselves and the kids. Make sure your pets have water if they are outdoor pets.

3-My opinion on trucks hitting the Maine Street Bridge. I guess you can’t fix STUPID. Personally, here’s my idea: Paint over the teeth in a color you can’t miss with these words: NO TRUCKS-$10,000.00 FINE IF YOU HIT THIS BRIDGE. Paint something on the ground too. If anyone hits that bridge after doing this, they don’t need a driver’s license for at least a year AND JAILTIME MIGHT GIVE THEM A REASON TO TAKE READING CLASSES.  Just MY opinion!!

4- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN:

Today-Partly sunny, with a temperature falling to around 27 by 5pm. North northeast wind 14 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Tonight-Mostly clear, with a low around 18. North northeast wind 6 to 13 mph becoming southeast after midnight.

HAVE A SUPER DAY AND #3 RANT IS OVER.
