0320L-MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-10/2/23

*There will be the 3 minute storm siren test, weather permitting, at noon today in Enid. *

*One more day in the upper 80s to low 90s and then temps start to slowly fall. Coming with the lowering temps is an opportunity for rainfall. Per the graphic attached, we could see a total of ½ inch to an inch of rainfall Tuesday through Thursday. We’ll see how this plays out.

*The cold front should arrive later on Wednesday bringing with it some additional rainfall and much cooler weather. We could see low temps by Saturday morning in the upper 40s with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. We’ll see what happens later this week.

*Overall, we’ll be ok so here’s your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Highs in the upper 80s. South winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight-Partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 60s. Southeast winds around 10 mph.

* As stated in Sunday’s post, the Fire Danger will be with us basically through the winter months. When foliage goes dormant THE DANGER REALLY INCREASES so use caution while doing any burning whatsoever. If you see smoke or fire call 9-1-1. If you plan a controlled burn, call dispatch at 580-234-3473.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
