0340L-MONDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-9/5/22

1- Not a lot going on other than mild weather. Per guidance, showers and thunderstorms are likely in the southeast quadrant of the state so if you are traveling in that area, stay weather aware. Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny. Highs around 90. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight- Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 60s. East winds 5 to 10 mph.

2- Even though the grass is mostly green, we are still under SEVERE drought conditions. We are not in a burn ban and right now we really don’t need to be. Those that have been burning have been responsible to call their burns in so at least we know what the smoke is all about. There are those few that don’t. If you plan to do a controlled burn, call our 911 dispatch center at 580-234-FIRE (3473). We and they will appreciate it.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
