0312L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT 4/22/23

*RAIN? YES, RAIN is in the forecast for the next 5 to 7 days. It appears that the better chances are south of us but I am optimistic that we might receive some this week. The NWS has us in the 3 to 4 inch category “for the week” so we’ll see what happens.

* Sunday morning, there is a chance we may see temperatures near freezing. NWS forecast calls for low temps here around 34. Some areas may get down to 32 or a little lower so if you have tender vegetation out there, I would cover it up just in case.

*The FIRE DANGER will be LOW for the next 5-7 days. We ask that you use good common sense on doing any CONTROLLED BURNING. There is NO BURN BAN in place but winds may be a factor around the area. Just use extreme caution. If you see any smoke or fire, call 911 immediately.

* Overall, we’ll be ok so here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of showers this afternoon. Highs in the mid-50s. North winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight-Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of rain showers in the evening. Lows in the mid-30s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
