0400L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-12/12/20

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT UNTIL 6 PM ON SUNDAY. Here we go again. Let’s see if we see any snow this time. That dusting we took a few weeks ago could have been devastating but we overcame it! A little sarcasm there!!

2- With this advisory for tonight into tomorrow, we “might” see 3-4 inches and possibly more in some areas if the storm track stays true. There are many variables involved with snow events so we’ll see how this one plays out. IF THIS OCCURS, driving conditions might get a little slick on elevated surfaces. Slow down and drive cautiously. Also, NW Oklahoma appears to be the heavy snow target once again so if you plan on traveling out west stay weather aware.

3- Another storm system will push across the area on Tuesday bring us a CHANCE for snow. Notice I didn’t say more snow! All this said, NWS ADVISORIES AND WARNINGS come through our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app as they issue them along with any important information that needs to get out to the people from us. DOWNLOAD it today and stay prepared. Overall, we’ll be ok.

4- These graphics attached will change several times today so keep up with the NWS forecasts. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Partly cloudy. Highs in the mid-40s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

Tonight- Mostly cloudy. A chance of snow and rain after midnight. Lows around 30. Light and variable winds becoming northeast around 10 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation 40 percent.

I’ll advise as needed. Have a good day!!
