FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-SATURDAY JUNE 24, 2017

Good morning, we will enjoy a few days of mid 80’s temps along with winds UNDER 10 mph. After that, things will change a bit with winds increasing substantially and rain chances going up.
For this time of year, today and Sunday’s temps are not real common but we’ll take them. Especially with light winds. That said, here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Saturday-Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. East wind 5 to 8 mph.
Saturday Night-Partly cloudy, with a low around 62. East wind 3 to 8 mph.

Here is a preparedness tip for you; we have been talking about the heat for the last several weeks. Just because we cool off some doesn’t mean you let your guard down. People who have had heat issues tend to try to do more when it is cooler and suddenly end up with those issues again. PACE YOURSELF and pay attention to how you feel. Those heat related issues can come back to haunt you even when it’s cooler outdoors.
Have a great day!!
