0300L-SATURDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-10/8/22

1- A cool day, per forecast guidance, is on tap with highs in the 6os, light winds, and we’ll have partly cloudy skies. We’ll have a very low chance for showers later today so we’ll see if that actually happens. We definitely need the rain.

2- Rain is expected Monday into Tuesday and then on Wednesday morning, per guidance. Hopefully this does occur.

3- The drought Monitor came out on Thursday and we are still in the EXTREME DROUGHT area except for the far southeast part of the county which remains in the severe category. Use extreme caution while utilizing anything related to fire. The Fire Danger is ELEVATED.
