0330L-FRIDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-9/4/2020

1- A weak front has pushed through early this morning basically shifting the winds out of the northeast. The winds will come back around from the southeast around mid-morning. No rain here again today and we aren’t expecting any until possibly next week.

2- This holiday weekend, expect high temps in the low to mid 90s and overnight temps to be around 70. On Tuesday, we are expecting a cold front that should knock our temps down into the 60s for daytime highs and possibly into the mid to upper 40s for lows. Sounds like this weekend you should be getting a few sweaters or light jackets out.

3- Overall, we’ll be ok so if you are working outdoors this weekend, continue to pace yourselves and hydrate accordingly. With cooler weather on the horizon, I would be looking to seal up any areas around windows or doors where an air leak may occur. It may help the ole electric bill too. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 80s. East winds around 10 mph.

Tonight- Clear with lows in the mid-60s. Southeast winds around 10 mph in the evening becoming light and variable.

4- The FIRE DANGER is lurking once again so be extremely careful out there. Report smoke and or fire to 911 so the correct response can be sent.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
