0400L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-12/18/22

1- The forecast is all over the place because the models are depicting different things. The only thing I will say for the up and coming week is IT’S GONNA BE DANGEROUSLY COLD after the Wednesday/Thursday front comes through. This is the system that everyone should prepare for. I would highly advise you to just click this link and read this morning’s discussion, short term and long term keeping in mind, this will change many times before either front gets here. https://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=OUN&issuedby=OUN&product=AFD&format=CI&version=1&glossary=1

2- Overall, if everyone prepares accordingly, EVERYONE will be ok. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today- Sunny this morning, then becoming partly sunny. Highs in the upper 40s. South winds 10 to 15 mph with higher gusts.

Tonight- Cloudy with a chance of rain. A chance of snow after midnight. Lows in the mid-30s. South winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of precipitation 50 percent.

Finally, download our GARFIELD COUNTY EM app. You’re better prepared with it than without it.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
