0330L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-12/27/20

1- A cold front will move into the area this morning bringing somewhat cooler temps along with fairly strong north winds gusting upwards of 30 mph. The colder air will arrive Monday morning. Highs on Monday will be around 40 with north winds around 10 mph.

2- As with the season, dry conditions, low dew point temps and humidity will cause the fire danger to increase some so if anyone plans on burning anything, use extreme caution. I would recommend that any burning wait until the winds let up later today.

3- Winter weather is a possibility around mid-week but timing on fronts and storm systems is still questionable. Be prepared for possibly a winter mix and then drive accordingly. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

 Sunday- Sunny with a high near 58. South southwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming northwest 15 to 20 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph.

Sunday Night- Partly cloudy with a low around 30. North northeast wind around 10 mph.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
