FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
Good morning,

Again today, not too much to discuss other than we have light rain ongoing this morning and is forecast to be out of here by noon or so. Hopefully today, we’ll see the sun!

The FIRE DANGER will be increasing this week so keep that in mind. The foliage all around right now is dead as most are aware. All it takes is a spark when humidity is low and the winds are blowing to start something that can get out of control quickly. If this occurs, call 911 asap so we can get responders out there as quickly as possible. Mistakes happen, that’s why emergency services are here. Just don’t ever be afraid to call.

That said, here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;
Sunday-Showers likely, mainly before 9am. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 55. North northwest wind 15 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Sunday Night-Clear, with a low around 30. Northwest wind 8 to 13 mph becoming light west after midnight.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!!
MIKE
