0335L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-7/24/22

1-HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 12 NOON UNTIL 8PM THIS EVENING.

2- With the ongoing heat and the advisories that go with it, gives us time to get ready for winter. I know this sounds weird but it is coming sooner that you think. YES, we still have a few months but based on the last few winters, did you have any issues with heating or drafty windows or doors that you haven’t fixed yet? If you haven’t fixed those problems yet, guess what? You still have those and you’re losing cold air to keep you cool. Take the time to fix the leaks and you’ll stay cooler while it’s hot and then warmer when it gets cold. One more thing, you will save money on your cooling and heating bills.

3- Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Sunday-Sunny, hot with highs around 106. South winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

Sunday Night-Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 70s. South winds 10 to 15 mph. Heat index values up to 106 early in the evening.

Stay cool and use extreme caution while doing outdoor activities.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
