0325L-SUNDAY OUTLOOK FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-3/6/22

1- PRECIPITATION TODAY?? We’ll see. Per guidance, the models are all over the place so be prepared either way. We could see some light freezing precip this morning that may turn into rain later this morning into the afternoon if this all this comes together.

2-If we don’t receive any precip today, the fire danger will continue, just with cooler temps. We need the moisture but until foliage starts greening up, we will continue to face the dangers. Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Today-Mostly sunny this morning, then cloudy with rain showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. Much cooler with highs in the upper 40s. North winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain 80 percent.

Tonight-Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then mostly clear after midnight. Cold with lows in the mid-20s. North winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

HAVE A GOOD DAY!
