FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT-SUNDAY, MAY 14, 2017

First of all, a quick update on me. I have been getting several texts asking how I am doing. I am doing ok. I am extremely sore and very limited on what I can do and doing computer stuff is difficult. I have to remember that each day will get better. With 22 staples in the back of my neck, and with an unsettled weather week coming up, I feel like a walking lightning rod. Can’t wait to get these out. BTW, the pain meds aren’t bad either. 🙂 OK enough about me.

As I have stated over the last several days, we will have storms this week. All hazards are possible at some level of risk. We’ll post these as the NWS posts the graphs. There is NO NEED TO PANIC as these types of storms happen at this time of the year and as a matter of fact, they can happen at any time of the year. Just make sure that while doing yardwork you plan on securing anything that can take flight then you don’t have to worry about asking your neighbors down the street if you can have your patio chairs back.

All that said; enjoy the warm to hot weather today and tomorrow. Get out and start your tan, just remember to put some sunscreen on.

Here is your forecast from the NWS/NORMAN;

Sunday-Sunny, with a high near 85. South wind 10 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Sunday Night-Mostly clear, with a low around 64. South wind 11 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

HAVE A SUPER DAY!!
