0330L-THURSDAY OUTLOOK & INFO FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MGMT-3/12/2020

1- A cold front will push through the area today bringing with it colder air. Enjoy the mid 70 degree weather today as highs will drop into the upper 40s to low 50s for Friday. Other than this, rain chances will slowly increase as we progress into the next 5-7 days. We’ll see what happens.

2- PREPAREDNESS=RESILIENCE. This means that when you have taken every step that you are aware of to be as prepared as possible, you are ready for virtually anything. Guess what? You really aren’t. EACH EVENT no matter how ready you thought you were, you found that you overlooked something. This happens all of the time, even for us. This is why we plan, train, and prepare all of the time. No matter how much we do this, something is always left out. We do these things to make sure we are as prepared as possible, YOU SHOULD TOO.

3-HEALTH-WISE; wash your hands as needed, use hand sanitizer as needed, if you are sick-STAY HOME and disinfect as needed with Lysol type products. If you are in public and have a cough, wear a mask. Don’t panic over CoVID-19, seek out information from the CDC and our Oklahoma Health Department; NOT social media. We’ll be ok.
