0600L-WINTER WEATHER UPDATE FROM GARFIELD COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

We have been upgraded to a WINTER STORM WARNING from 6pm Thursday evening until noon on Friday.

3 to 6 inches of snow is possible and whiteout conditions could occur as wind gusts to 35 mph are also possible. Ice accumulations up to .25 of an inch is possible before liquid precip turns to snow.

If you plan on traveling this evening, use EXTREME CAUTION and make sure you notify relatives or friends that you are coming along with what roads you may be traveling on, just in case. Be prepared and have warm clothing in the event you end up off the roads.
